We are thrilled to welcome the 2024 class into the Maven Analytics Hall of Fame!
Before we get into the nominations, a big thank you to everyone in the data community who submitted a nomination to help us select this group.
This year's group of nominees was tough to vote on, because of the strength of the overall field. But in the end, four of the nominees really stood out.
Everyone who was nominated should feel a sense of pride. You are an impressive group of people, and we are glad to have you in the data community.
Before we introduce our inductees, let's have a quick reminder about the qualities that earned these individuals their spots.
This new class represents the characteristics that we most value in our students and in the broader data community.
1) Maven Hall of Famers are committed to lifelong learning.
2) They actively participate in the Maven community and broader data community.
3) They consistently support and encourage others in the Maven community.
4) They bring a positive energy to their learning and their work.
To sum it up, these are the people that make being a part of Maven such an enjoyable experience for instructors, and for the entire data community.
There was more than just glory on the line. Each of the folks being honored today will receive the exclusive Hall of Fame badge, and have also been given free lifetime access to the entire Maven library of courses.
Now, let's introduce the Hall of Fame Class of 2024!
Andrew Hubbard
Earlier this month, Andrew Hubbard joined Gerard Duggan in the rare ranks of those inducted into the Hall of Fame early. Because of Andrew's dedication to learning and presence in the Maven Community, we knew he was a shoo-in for the 2024 class…and you did, too! Andrew was by far the most nominated person this year by the Maven community.
You can read more about Andrew's induction here, but these nominations sum it up perfectly...
“It's rare to find a hard worker and dedicated person like him.” - Tiga Sawadogo
“Andrew is always eager to share knowledge, support others in their learning journeys, and inspire with his positive energy and dedication to growth.” - Moses Mascarenhas
“He is a dedicated learner who consistently overcomes learning challenges throughout many outstanding Maven Analytics Projects. He is also deeply motivated to actively engage with and support others' learning journeys in the community.” - Kathy Thuytien Le
I even went so far as to nominate Andrew myself – he's been one of the most dedicated learners I've ever seen, a consistent contributor in the community, and has had a presence at our live events, too.
It's hard to think of anyone more worthy of this honor. We are proud to induct Andrew into the 2024 Hall of Fame Class.
Congratulations Andrew!
Abhilasha Narasimhan
Many of you likely know Abhilasha Narasimhan from her presence in the Maven community on LinkedIn. She was also the winner of our Portfolio Powerhouse award during our recent Open Campus, and has been very active and engaged during our live events this year – she started out as an early “community member to watch” from her activity during our January Jumpstart event in early 2024!
In addition to being a dedicated learner, Abhilasha has set a positive example in our community through her self-reflective posts, support of her peers, and love of all things Maven. She was one of the first to champion our Data Literacy Foundations course earlier this year, and we have loved watching her career evolution!
We are proud to induct Abhilasha into the 2024 Maven Analytics Hall of Fame.
Congratulations Abhilasha!
Caitlin Lemon
Speaking of standout Maven community members…
When Caitlin Lemon joined our SQL Cohort in February, she took the program by storm: asking questions, challenging herself to take her learning to the next level, and utilizing her existing marketing industry knowledge to craft a project that was a perfect display of her own unique skillset.
Oh, and did we mention that she successfully completed a career pivot into the role of marketing analyst while still completing the program?
You can read more about Caitlin’s cohort experience here, but what really matters is what she’s done for the rest of the year.
Throughout the year, Caitlin has become an excellent voice in the LinkedIn community. She’s providing insights to her peers about what made her career switch successful, pursuing your passions, and highlighting the skills in analytics that can often be overlooked. If you’re not following Caitlin, you should be!
We have watched her growth throughout the year, and we couldn’t be more proud to welcome her into the Maven Hall of Fame.
Congratulations Caitlin!
Andrew Boho
Andrew Boho may not be as well-known as some of these other faces, but his love of data is second to none.
With a learning streak of 641 days (the second-longest in Maven history!), he’s more than earned his place among the ranks of the Hall of Fame!
As a student of all 4(!!) of Maven's cohort programs, Andrew once said, "Maven is different. The instructors are dedicated educators who care about the craft of teaching. This is key: teaching is a skill and Maven instructors have mastered it."
While we were thrilled to hear that, we're even more pleased that we can say that Andrew is officially a part of the Maven Team, and one who cares deeply about helping other students learn data analytics skills as a member of our customer success team.
We're proud to induct him with the 2024 class.
Congratulations Andrew!
Becky Chapin
Becky Chapin exploded onto our radar (and possibly yours!) during Open Campus. In addition to attending the live sessions, she created a document where she added notes from each session and shared them with all of you on LinkedIn – the ultimate community resource, and immediately cemented her as a nominee for the Hall of Fame.
But what many wouldn’t know is that, in addition to being a great support for the community during Open Campus, Becky has also been hard at work behind the scenes ramping up her data skills, and this dedication to learning really sealed the deal.
We are proud to welcome her into the Maven Hall of Fame.
Congratulations, Becky!
Jade Handy
Speaking of active community members…
If you’re in the Maven LinkedIn community, you probably have seen Jade Handy. He’s an overarching presence – commenting on your posts and encouraging your work, sharing his excitement for new Maven projects, and sharing his own career insights via his own posts.
If you look at his LinkedIn About section, you'll immediately see that Jade embodies the lifelong learner quality that we value so deeply. He also demonstrates the ability to adapt, grow, and apply his new skills in a meaningful way.
And his Showcase portfolio is no slouch, either!
We are proud to call him a member of the 2024 class.
Congratulations Jade!
Tiga Sawadogo
Last, but certainly not least, Tiga Sawadogo!
Tiga is a very dedicated student and community member. In courses, he asks thoughtful and practical questions that demonstrate a great understanding of the topic at hand and helps future students cement their own understanding. In the community, Tiga is very active, posting projects, learning progress, and supporting other Maven community members as they hit their own learning and project milestones.
We are proud to induct Tiga into the 2024 Maven Analytics Hall of Fame.
Congratulations, Tiga!
