Learn, Create, Connect.
As some of you may know, we've spent much of the past year designing what we believe to be the biggest – and most important – evolution of the Maven Analytics platform to date.
And it's finally here 🎉
I'm thrilled to introduce MAVEN SHOWCASE , an entirely new way for analysts and aspiring data professionals to build projects and portfolios, share their work, and connect with peers and potential employers around the world.
For years, we've encouraged students to create project portfolios as a way to build a personal brand, showcase their skills, and actually prove to employers that they have what it takes to succeed on the job.
After all, you don’t hire a photographer because their resume says they take great photos, you hire them based on real, tangible examples of their work. Why should hiring a data analyst be any different?
Starting today, all users can now build, host and share their own project portfolios on the Maven platform — for free.
Published projects will also be featured on the Maven Showcase page, where users can browse portfolios, find inspiration, share feedback, and network with world-class analysts.
This launch represents a major milestone in Maven Analytics' evolution from online learning platform to the world’s first all-in-one “Career Launchpad” for data professionals.
By creating a space where anyone can master modern data skills, build projects, and host their own portfolios, we're reinventing the way analysts learn and get hired.
Instead of soliciting employers with cover letters and traditional resumes, analysts can use Maven Analytics as a platform to gain exposure, earn credibility, and join a global network of data talent.
This helps level the playing field by shifting the emphasis away from “traditional” hiring criteria (like GPA or years of experience) and towards the real-world skills that actually matter on the job.
Imagine a platform where you can learn new skills, showcase your work, and collaborate with world-class analysts, all in one place.
Where top companies come to upskill their teams, onboard new hires, and recruit proven talent, and where success isn’t measured by certificates and badges, but by real, meaningful outcomes like landing a job, earning a promotion, or launching a new career.
This is what the future of data talent looks like, and this is the future we’re building at Maven Analytics.
EXPERIENCE THE MAVEN SHOWCASE
Some important notes about the launch:
This is 100% free to use, and automatically available to anyone with a new or existing Maven Analytics account (free or paid)
We've added some tips and tutorials, to help you navigate the platform and learn how to build an eye-catching portfolio
We'll be rolling out brand new features over the next few weeks, but feel free to share feedback – we'd love to hear it!
Last but not least, I'm excited to announce two new initiatives we'll be launching for our early adopters:
1. Analysts You Can Hire
First, we're introducing a new content series to showcase talented analysts who are seeking new opportunities. If you'd like a chance to be featured in our "Analysts You Can Hire" series, you can opt in by adding at least 4 projects to your Maven portfolio and registering via this link .
2. Live Portfolio Review
Next, I'll be hosting a LIVE portfolio review on December 20th, 2022, where I'll share feedback on a pre-selected group of student portfolios. To be considered, all you need to do is add at least 4 projects to your Maven portfolio and register here .
We're so excited to launch this next chapter of the Maven Analytics journey and deeply grateful for everyone supporting us along the way.
I hope you love these new tools, and can't wait to see the amazing things you create!
