Welcome to AI Governance for Business Leaders, a course built to help you evolve your governance program from managing data to governing the AI systems that data now powers, allowing you to deploy AI responsibly and sustainably.
We'll start by grounding you in the foundations: what AI governance is, why it's more urgent than ever, and how it builds on the data governance you already know. We'll also unpack the new risks AI introduces that traditional governance was not built for.
Next, we'll introduce the frameworks and principles required to design an AI governance program. You'll learn about the current regulatory landscape, the core FATPS governance principles and relevant ethical frameworks, and the roles required to operationalize it all.
From there, we'll move from policy into practice by learning to govern AI across three fronts: what it knows, what it does, and how it operates. We'll explore how to ground AI in data you can trace and trust, how to control what it’s allowed to build, and how to keep it reliable, compliant, and cost-aware.
Last but not least, we'll focus on sustaining and adapting your program as the technology, your organization, and the rules evolve.
