Data Boss Project- JCPS Free Reduced Lunch Program

This dashboard was completed as a final project for the Tech Louisville Data Analytics course.

This dashboard is looking at data from the JCPS school district free/reduced lunch program that allows students to receive meals at school for a reduced price or at no cost. This project was to determine if there was a change in the number of Black students enrolled in the free/reduced lunch program between the 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 school years. Data was provided in an Excel file which was cleaned and transformed to begin the analysis. The grade levels were broken out into multiple pivot tables to separate grade level, school name, and school year. For this dashboard, the focus is on the top ten schools in each school level with the highest number of Black students within the program. The dashboard was separated by grade level to review enrollment by school and the change in enrollment over time. This also reviewed total enrollment across all grade levels by year and the distribution of enrollment by grade.
