Self-taught in Data Analysis, I am highly skilled in primarily in PowerBI, Python and Microsoft Excel.
2019 is when I began learning to code. I started out by doing the ‘Data Science Path’ on Codeacademy, which sparked my initial interest in this industry.
In 2020, during the lockdown is when I was introduced to PowerBI. This was via online learning webinars hosted weekly by LBAG (London Business Analytics Group). This has changed my career trajectory and life. In that period, I practiced what I was learning each week, then began building my own projects.
Later, I combined journalism skills with my data analysis skillset by producing in-depth articles on current topics.
My first data role was landed in summer 2021, as a Health data analyst intern for Cambridge University’s MRC Biostatistics Unit. I was mostly using R, helping the team to analyse genetic trends. My next role was gained later that year at Cognizant, as a PowerBI Developer, subcontracting to HMRC and Sensyne.
