Top Vacations for Americans during the global lockdown - Feb 2022

The challenge was to analyse data on the US travel data.

I decided to streamline the data, to only focus on the years 2020-2021 in the height of the global pandemic and worldwide lockdowns. This closely assesses the travel patterns of Americans during this time.

Using PowerBI I made this dashboard, highlighting the top destinations as well as distance travelled and even the carbon footprint of these flights.

One interesting trend was that more Americans were travelling closer to home; that being to Mexico and Canada. Britain, being the number one ally of America was still 4th on the destinations list, despite the global restrictions.
