Sales data for a fictitious global electronics retailer, including tables containing information about transactions, products, customers, stores and currency exchange rates.
Objectives:
- What types of products does the company sell, and where are customers located?
- Are there any seasonal patterns or trends for order volume or revenue?
- How long is the average delivery time in days? Has that changed over time?
- Is there a difference in average order value (AOV) for online vs. in-store sales?
Key Insights:
- Offline stores are generating more revenue than online store.
- USA contributes the largest % of revenue and presence of offline stores.
- The avg delivery time is 4.5 days.
- Majority of the brands had a successful year in 2019 except for Northwind Traders which had their highest revenue in 2018.
- FY 2020 took a significant toll for all the brands as revenue and no of store openings dropped significantly.
- USA again stands 1st with respect to customer base holdings, followed by Canada and Australia.
- Computers is the highest revenue generating category.****
