About this project

The stakeholder are the job seekers, Employees, Freshers. The outcome or the analysis of the project will help in decision making for those who are looking for jobs in NYC.

  • Objectives:
  1. Explore the average salary in each location, both maximum and minimum, on an annual and hourly basis.
  2. Analyse jobs based on timings - both part-time and full-time location wise.
  3. Explore the relationship between job opening frequency based on location.
  4. Analyse the relationship between career level and salary.
  5. To find which work location has the most jobs.
  6. Explore minimum and maximum average salary range according to location.
  7. To calculate total number of job openings based on locations. To explore the relationship between job category and residency requirement in NYC.
  8. Explore the relationship between salary frequency and the type of job.
  9. Explore the relationship between agency and the number of positions open (Which agency has the maximum and minimum positions available).
  10. To find the relationship between salary frequency and the number of positions open
  • Key Insights:
  1. 96-05 Horace harding expressway has the maximum no of full time job openings.
  2. At career level Executive gets an average salary of 1,64,004$ annually and a student earns 16.71$ on a hourly basis.
  3. The job category named ‘Engineering, Architecture, & Planning’ has 120 job openings on a hourly basis.
  4. There is no significant difference between the number of internal and external postings except for ‘The Law Dept’ which has 107 internal posting and 32 external posting, which gives a max difference of 75 positions.
  5. Department of ‘parks and recreation’ has a maximum 49 % vacancies on a hourly basis.
  6. Office of the comptroller’ pays a maximum average salary of 1,15,698$ annually.
