This is an analysis of the UK Religious Demographics (England only) data based on their recent census. The data consists of religious affiliation of the people of England in 2011 and 2021. I have used four charts and four KPIs in this dashboard.
INSIGHT - The followers of Christianity have significantly reduced by 16.87% in 2021 as compared to 2011. It's interesting to find that people choosing not to follow any religion has increased drastically by 57.96%
INSIGHT - The proportion of Christians reduced from 59.4% to 46.3% of the total population. Though Christianity is still the religion with maximum followers in England but it is no more the majority religion.
INSIGHT - Every region witnessed a decline in the followers of Christianity. North East has the highest decrease in Christianity and also the highest increase in No Religion. Hindus have increased significantly in the South West and South East regions, while North East and North West saw an increase of No Religion. London witnessed a drastic increase in the followers of other religions.
INSIGHT - Apart from Sikhs and Christians, every other religion has their maximum proportion of followers based out of London.
KPIs used in this metrics were - Total number of respondents, Growth in number of respondents, Total religions, Total regions.
