US Shark Tank Study

Shark Tank Analysis

About this project

Goals: To analyze the historical dataset of Shark Tank seasons from 1 - 14 and find insights from them.

Dataset: An Excel file with the data across 50 Column * 1274 rows

Description : The main aim was to create a dashboard containing all the essential insights from Seasons 1-14. But 2 additional report pages are added to dive down on startup and industry.

Data Preparation: Data types were checkedData and header formatting were checkedMissing values from columns were avoided since the rate was very high and couldn't be filled (e.g.Age)Removed unnecessary columns (Episode, Air date, U.S. viewership, Business Description, etc.)

Data Modelling: This was a straightforward model and a date table was manually inserted to analyze YOY rather than over seasons. Though it was used only once, it was a very needed visualization to see the YOY pitcher's difference.

Data Visualization: The entire report was designed in Power BI using different types of visualizations (bar, column, line, pie, KPI Cards, scatter chart, gauge chart, tables, and Slicers with Conditional Formatting). Additionally, visualization titles and subtitles are also used to summarize the visuals.
