This focus of this project was about delving into data concerned with the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers Survey (HCAHPS) which had collected results based on patient perspectives during their visit while in the hospital anywhere from 2015-2023.
The HCAHPS consisted of 19 questions in total that were based on 10 essential categories/measures including: Communication with Nurses, Communication with Doctors, Responsiveness of Hospital Staff, Communication about Medicines, Discharge Information, Care Transition, Cleanliness of Hospital Environment, Quietness of Hospital Environment, Overall Hospital Rating, and Willingness to Recommend the Hospital.
The goal was to evaluate whether the survey had been successful in creating incentives for the hospitals to improve their quality of care for their patients based on the provided feedback.
