This project is an exploratory analysis of parental leave data from 1,601 companies across different industries. The data includes paid and unpaid maternity and paternity leave.
Goals for the analysis:
The dataset was first imported to Excel to normalize/clean data. The cleaned dataset was then imported into Tableau where the industry subsets were condensed into groups. In order to maximize dashboard space parameters were used to create drop down lists for both the dumbbell and bar charts. To establish "best companies" a calculated field/filter was used to find companies where maternity leave was greater than or equal to 16 weeks AND paternity leave was greater than or equal to 8 weeks.
