Details:

The dashboard provides an intuitive and visually appealing representation of the data, allowing users to explore insights on different aspects of restaurant trends, such as cuisine, cost, ratings, and reviews. The dashboard features a variety of interactive charts and maps, built using various Tableau features such as filters, parameters, and calculated fields, which update dynamically based on user input.

This project was a great opportunity to gain insights into the Indian restaurant market and the different factors that impact restaurant trends across different regions and states. The dataset, which includes information on over 16,000 restaurants from all over India, was ideal for exploring various aspects of the restaurant industry in the country.

Result:

Based on the analysis of the Swiggy dataset using my Tableau dashboard, several insights into the Indian restaurant market were uncovered. Here are a few key findings:

  • Cuisine: The most popular cuisine types in India are North Indian and South Indian, followed by Chinese and Continental.
  • Cost: The average cost for two people at a restaurant in India is approximately INR 500-1,000, with the highest-cost restaurants located in Delhi.
  • States and Regions: The states with the highest number of restaurants are Delhi, and Karnataka, while the regions with the highest number of restaurants are the North and West regions.
  • Delivery Time: The average delivery time for restaurants in India is approximately 35-55 minutes. Restaurants in Delhi tend to have longer delivery times compared to other cities in India, with average delivery times of approximately 120 minutes. Restaurants in South India tend to have shorter delivery times compared to other regions, with average delivery times of approximately 30 minutes

Overall, the dashboard provided a comprehensive and interactive view of the restaurant industry in India, allowing users to explore trends across various dimensions such as cuisine, cost, ratings, and delivery time. This information can be used by restaurant owners and Swiggy Stakeholders to make informed decisions about the market, and by consumers to make more informed choices when dining out.
