The E-commerce data project presented an exciting challenge to expand my expertise in the realm of E-commerce, delving deep into the intricacies of Order and Shipment performance analysis. The established E-commerce platform, with a diverse range of products, has a long-standing presence in the market. However, faced with strategic maneuvers from competitors and suboptimal decision-making at the managerial level, the company has witnessed a decline in market share and revenue across key categories such as Technology, Furniture, and Office Supplies. In response to this challenge, the company's management has identified the imperative to leverage "Business and Data Intelligence" to reclaim lost market share and revenue, aligning with their strategic business goals.

  • Order Analysis: The total sales for Product Performance accounted for $2.3M, generating a profit of $286k for a total quantity sold of 38k units. The total purchase**** for Customer Performance accounted for $230, on a price of $29 for a total quantity sold of 10k units.
  • Technology category: Generated the highest revenue of $836,154 out of which phones generated a major revenue of $330,000.
  • Year on Year: This measure for Sales is 31%. The occupancy differs with a rate of almost 1% with Profit and Quantity.
  • Shipment Analysis: The total sales for Product Performance accounted for $9100, on a profit of $2k for a total quantity sold of 14k units. The total purchase for Custmor Performance accounted for $214, on a price of $3k for a total quantity sold of 600k units.
  • Customer segment: This segment contributed 39% of total sales out of which 50% of the quantity was bought by consumers followed by corporates & home office segments.
