Project Objective:
In this project I implemented Customer Cohort Analysis on a fictional E-commerce dataset for 2017 using Alteryx Designer.
- Cleaned and Transformed 20,000 transaction records to be used for cohort analysis and deriving business insights.
- Implemented Customer Segmentation: Grouped customers into Acquisition Cohorts based on first transaction date event at customer level.
- Calculated key metrics like Cohort Month, Cohort Index & Retention Rate for each cohort.
- Visualized Tabular Cohort Matrix for Retention Rate to aid in cohort comparison along horizontal, vertical & diagonal axis using Excel.
- Gained actionable insights related to Customer Churn, Product Engagement and other relevant business metrics like Product Profit Margins, Customer Spending Analysis, Product Markup etc.
