About this project

Company Overview and Task Overview

MavenTech is a company specializing in selling computer hardware to large businesses. They have a CRM system to track sales, but do not yet have any insights on how the team is doing. CRM database for a fictitious company that sells computer hardware, including information on accounts, products, sales teams, and sales opportunities.

The data provided consisted of 4 csv files: (1) sales teams, (2) sales pipeline, (3) accounts, and (4) products.

High Level Overview

A high level overview of the data shows that sales data has been collected on 7 unique products for all 4 quarters in 2017. Performance data is available for 35 sales agents divided between 6 sales managers.

Insights

Overall profit for 2017 was $10M, with the GTXPro being the most profitable product ($3.5M). The least profitable product was the MG Special.

There were a total of 2,473 lost sales, with lost sales remaining consistently around 790 for Q2, Q3 and Q4. The product with the most lost sales was the GTX basic.

Far and away the most successful sales person was Darcel Schlect with $1.2M in profit. The second most successful was Vicky LaFlamme with $478,000 in profit.

Q2 was the most successful quarter, followed by a slight decline in profits for Q3 and Q4.
