Scenario: I am a junior data analyst working on the marketing analyst team at Bellabeat, a high-tech manufacturer of health-focused products for women. Bellabeat is a successful small company, but they have the potential to become a larger player in the global smart device market.

Business Task: Identify trends and gain insights into how consumers use smart devices and how they can be applied to Bellabeat's marketing strategy.

Executive Summary

  1. Smart devices like Fitbit are a popular way to track activity and sleep. However, it is important to note the limitation of this case study that the dataset only contains a few data points for sleep.
  2. The dataset suggests that advocating interventions to reduce sedentary minutes impacts overall health by promoting an active lifestyle & increasing sleep duration.
  3. Focusing on BellaBeat App, the company should emphasize its technologies on Sleep Tracking & Analysis to encourage active and frequent use similar to Activity Tracking & Analysis.
