About this project
The data is from a fictional sales transaction for a Vending machine company in Vietnam. The date range is from 03/2020 to 05/2020, during Covid time.
Through analysis, we gained the following insights:
Net Sales in April 2020 in Ho Chi Minh City declined 28% (to 289 VND million) due to social distancing, people spent less time outside
Sales normally occur from 8 am –5 pm, during working hours, then gradually decrease until 8 pm
The peak hour is 12 pm, which is lunch time, and customers have time and demand for drinks/meals from Automatic Machines.
Only Industrial Zone witnessed an 15.4% increase (to 75 million VND) in Net Sales in April. Other location types suffered Sales drop during Social distancing time This is due to the fact that Production Activities in Industrial Zones is more likely to continue, requiring workers to come to work.
