About this project

Summary:

As a Business Analyst dedicated to optimizing sales performance, this project focuses on developing comprehensive metrics and dynamic dashboards for Adidas sales data. Leveraging Power BI tools, my goal is to provide teams with intuitive visualizations, facilitating deep analysis of key sales metrics. My aim is to empower decision-makers with actionable insights, identifying opportunities for growth and efficiency across channels and product categories. This initiative reflects our dedication to driving revenue and operational excellence through data-driven strategies.

  • Revenue and Gross Profit: Adidas achieved a remarkable revenue of $120.17 million with a gross profit of $897.42 million, showcasing strong financial performance.
  • Product Performance: The top-performing products were Apparel ($741k), Athletic Footwear ($753k), and Street Footwear ($986k), illustrating diverse product popularity. Gender analysis revealed male sales dominance at 54% versus female sales at 46%, totaling $900 million in sales and 2 million units sold.
  • Operating Profit, Margin, and Channel Performance: Operating profit stood at $332 million with a margin of 4k. Top-performing sales channels included Amazon ($10 million), Footlocker ($29 million), and Walmart ($11 million). While operational expenses rose alongside operating profit, the operating margin remained consistent across apparel types.
  • Sales Performance by Channel and Location: Online stores emerged as the highest revenue generator with $939k, followed by outlets at $850k and in-store sales at $690k. Charleston and New York exhibited the highest sales at $40 million, with New York contributing the highest revenue of $6 million. Total retail orders tallied at 9648, with a sum of price per unit amounting to $463k.
