Brew-tiful Insights on Coffee Survey

Regarding the analysis tool I used Power BI Desktop as the tool for creating the report on the Coffee survey, as I am familiar with it and my go to tool for any complex transformations and visually analyzing data in a quick and efficient manner.

Going over the preparation of the dashboard first task was going through CSV source file get and idea over the number of columns etc. Then it was loaded to power query, where I found that some columns data were filled incorrectly for example for question “Where do you typically drink coffee?" was answered as “None of these” and “At Home” both options. These type of errors were fixed in power query with conditional replacement. And instead of “” , null values were in columns and for the text column if questions haven’t been answered “Not Answered” term was used so a user can analyze the patterns of those not answered options of questions against others. After these data cleaning tasks I extracted and separated the Dimension tables from the Fact table (Survey Data) which I used for creating the star schema model for the power bi report.On frontend I have used couple of field parameters and switch measures to give the capability for analyzing data in much deeper sense along with the custom filter/slicer pane with bookmarks to save space in canvas. And also drill through via summary page into detail page also added to enable the user to dig deep for extracting meaningful insights out of the report.
