The dataset used in this project are from a fictitious restaurant wherein there are four cuisines offered.

About the menu....
Four categories are available, such as American, Asian, Italian, and Mexican cuisines.
American cuisine has 6 items with an average price of $10.07. While Asian cuisine has 8 items on the menu with $13.48 average price. Lastly, Italian and Mexican cuisines had 9 items on their menu with an average price of $16.75 and $11.80 respectively.
With this set of menu, the restaurant made a revenue of $159.22k with over 12,097 items sold and 5,343 orders made for the first quarter of 2023.
Most and least of items....
Hamburger, an American cuisine, is the most item sold on the menu at 622 pieces and a price of $12.95 each. On the other hand, Chicken Tacos from the Mexican category is the least item sold at 123 pieces and a price of $11.95 each. Both prices are above average for their respective categories.
Korean Beef Bowl, price at $17.95 each and is above average price for Asian category, and the Chicken Tacos are the most and least revenue on the menu.
On Wednesdays....
On the days of the week, Wednesday has the lowest revenue. However, the peak hour for this day is around 4PM. On the other hand, peak hour for the majority of the other days are lunch time.
Top Category....
With the highest average pricing on the menu with $16.75, Italian cuisine also has the highest revenue with $49,462.70, which is the 31% of the overall sales and 2,948 items sold. Asian cuisine is second and had the highest number of item sold, which is 3,470.
Third is the Mexican cuisine with the highest number of items on the menu (along with the Italian) and last is the American cuisine with the least item available.
Recommendations:
- Observe if Hamburger will boost its revenue more if there will be a promo for it every 3PM since it generated the most revenue at that hour vs. Korean Beef Bowl, the top item in terms of revenue.
- Check if additional advertising for the top 4 items listed on the bar chart every 4PM on Wednesdays will make an impact on the revenue. Orange Chicken for Asian, Shrimp Scampi for Italian, Cheeseburger for American and Steak Torta for the Mexican cuisine are the items on the list. All items listed are priced above average.
- Try to add more items on the Italian and Asian cuisines. Italian cuisine was the highest, revenue wise. Even if the items are the more expensive compared to other categories, customers still order it. On the other hand, Asian cuisine has the highest number of items sold in their menu.
