Fabric is moving fast, and Fabric Apps are the newest piece to land. People are already using them to build things that go beyond dashboards, from real-time visuals to interactive simulations. Getting started is more approachable than it looks, and the real shift is moving from a dashboard developer mindset to an app developer one.
In this session, you'll get set up with Fabric from scratch: installing your environment, using the terminal to scaffold a Fabric App from a GitHub repository, and using LLMs in tools like Claude Code and VS Code to move faster. You'll also see how to migrate a Power BI report and use Fabric Apps to go past what Power BI can do on its own.

Prerequisites
Access to an LLM through an IDE, such as Claude Code in Claude Desktop or GitHub Copilot in VS Code
Familiarity with Power BI helpful, but not required
