Challenge Objective
For the Maven Return to Space Challenge, it’s time to launch your data visualization skills skyward!
You've been handed the keys to the most comprehensive historical database of space missions, covering everything from the first Sputnik launch in 1957 all the way to recent ventures in 2022.
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to become the ultimate historian of the Space Age. Use this data to tell the thrilling story of humanity’s journey to the stars.
Your task is to share a single-page visual or dashboard that answers one of the following "Big Space Questions," or a compelling question of your own, in a fun and creative way:
The Ultimate Rocket Ranking: Which rocket (by name, cost, or size) is the true champion of space?
The Golden Era of Space: Which decade or time period had the highest success rate, the most launches, or the most bang-for-its-buck in terms of space exploration?
The Winning Team: Which country or organization has quietly dominated the space race over the long term, and what does their winning strategy look like?
Piece together the history of space travel and show us the most fascinating trends you can find!
