Project Objectives: My primary objectives were as follows:

  1. Build a robust database.
  2. Develop SQL queries for data extraction.
  3. Perform comprehensive data analysis.
  4. Connect the database to Power BI for dynamic visualization.
  5. Create an interactive dashboard for HR.

Project Milestones:

1. Building the Database:

  • I successfully constructed a secure database to house employee data, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.

2. Developing SQL Queries:

  • A suite of SQL queries was crafted to extract and manipulate data according to HR's requirements, enabling efficient data processing.

3. Data Analysis:

  • Through meticulous data analysis, we identified healthy individuals and those with low absenteeism, forming the basis for our wellness initiatives.

4. Connecting to Power BI Using MS SQL Server Data Source:

  • Integration with Power BI Using MS SQL Server Data Source was achieved, allowing for real-time data visualization and exploration.

5. Building the Dashboard:

  • A user-friendly and interactive dashboard was created, providing HR with valuable insights into employee absenteeism.

HR Requests Achieved:

1. Healthy Individuals & Low Absenteeism:

  • We compiled a list of employees meeting the criteria for the healthy bonus program, aligning with the $1,000 USD budget set by HR.

2. Wage Increase for Non-Smokers:

  • We calculated appropriate wage increases for non-smokers, supporting the company's insurance budget of $983,221 and promoting a healthier workforce.

Project Impact: The "From Data to Health" project has already begun to make a positive impact on our organization. By promoting employee wellness and optimizing incentives, we are fostering a healthier work environment and enhancing job satisfaction.
