Covid-19 Vaccine Tracker

About this project

I have created an interactive dashboard to track and analyze the progress of COVID-19 vaccinations worldwide. The main focus of the dashboard is to provide insights into how vaccination efforts are unfolding globally. The dashboard encompasses various key performance indicators (KPIs), charts, and filters to facilitate comprehensive understanding.

Dashboard Overview:

The "Global Vaccine Tracker" dashboard comprises multiple sections that help users explore COVID-19 vaccination trends:

1. KPIs for Vaccination Progress: At the top of the dashboard, three key performance indicators (KPIs) are displayed:

  • People Partially Vaccinated: This KPI shows the maximum number of people who have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
  • People Fully Vaccinated: This KPI displays the maximum number of individuals who have received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
  • Percentage Not Vaccinated: This KPI presents the proportion of the population that remains unvaccinated.

2. Vaccination by Location: This section provides an overview of vaccination rates across different countries. Two bar charts illustrate the percentage of people partially and fully vaccinated, using a dual-axis approach for easy comparison. Countries are sorted based on their partial vaccination rates.

3. Vaccination Density on a Map: The dashboard includes an interactive map that visualizes vaccination progress across countries. Each country is colour-coded to reflect the percentage of people vaccinated. Users can explore the map to gain insights into the distribution of vaccinations worldwide.

4. Vaccination and GDP Relationship: A scatter plot with a logarithmic trend line demonstrates the correlation between a country's GDP per capita and its vaccination rate. This chart helps users understand how economic wealth relates to vaccine distribution.

5. User Interaction: To enhance user interaction, the dashboard includes filters:

  • Continent Filter: Users can filter data by continent to focus on specific regions.
  • Country Filter: Users can choose individual countries to explore their vaccination statistics.
  • Date Range Filter: Users can select a range of dates to analyze vaccination trends within a specific timeframe.

Conclusion: The "Global Vaccine Tracker" dashboard provides an effective platform for understanding the progress of COVID-19 vaccinations worldwide. Through interactive visualizations and insightful KPIs, users can gain valuable insights into vaccination rates, trends, and their correlation with GDP. This project showcases my skills Of Tableau in creating informative and interactive data dashboards for analyzing real-world challenges.
