Olympic Games Data Analysis

So, this is a PowerBI dashboard that states the question that “how has the nation played overtime at Summer Olympics”

Looking at data I found certain things to be sorted in SQL server like: • Segmenting games into “Season” and “Year”, • Tried age grouping so that better understand the performance compared to age. • And a couple of naming changes such as “NOC” to “Nation code”, “NA” to Not Registered in medals, and “Name” to “Competitor Name”

Then the query was used to import data in PowerBI, following are things listed used to build the dashboard:

• Slicers: namely for “Year”, “Nation Code”, “Competitor” and “Sports” • Cards • Measures: for “No of competitors” and “No of medals registered”. The measures were coded with the help of DAX. • Stacked Bar charts to plot medals and their type by sports and competitors • Line chart to plot the achievements over a period of time.
