About this project

The purpose of this project is to track performance and improve efficiency, and it is important to identify specific goals and questions that need to be answered.

Goals:

  • Identify trends and insights to improve the quality of products and services

  • Improve the sales process and hit quotas consistently

Business Needs:

  • Pass actionable and detailed sales information to the team

  • Use the right data and decide on a reporting timeframe

  • Create a sales report that identifies the purpose and audience of the report

Insights:

  • Track yearly sales, including country wise sales, profit, cost, product wise sales and performance of resources.

  • Calculate yearly totals for all activities and revenue, and show the variance between yearly sales revenue and actual amounts

  • Enter sales data for current and previous years in a preformatted table to see performance changes over time

  • Filter and group the results to get a clear visual overview of sales performance, reveal winning patterns, and recognize sales bottlenecks.

The report aimed to provide insights into the company's sales performance and identify areas for improvement. Relevant details of the project include:

Data Collection: I collected sales data from the kaggle database, which included information such as sales revenue, product type, resources and sales region.

Data Cleaning and Preparation: I cleaned and prepared the data to ensure that it was accurate and consistent. This involved removing duplicates, filling in missing values, and standardizing data formats.

Data Visualization: I used Power BI to create interactive visualizations such as charts, graphs, and tables to present the sales data in a clear and concise manner.

The use of Power BI allowed for the creation of interactive visualizations that made it easy to understand the data and draw meaningful conclusions.
