Maven Challenge Northwind Traders

The goal of this project

In this project the Storytelling is an overview, a complete 360° view about the global result, main KPI and the trend of activity from Northwind Traders. This overview give the essentials things to know,. Every day it's possible to see the results and the trend of the activity in YTD (Year To Date) of the period selected, in YoY (Year Over Year) comparaison with the same dates of the Previous Year (PY).

To go further, it exist the same thing to see more detail with 5 topics :

• Revenue
• Customers
• Products
• Employees
• Delivery

It's also possible to select with the "filter panel", on the top of the screen at the left, to have a complete view by selected an item in the product category, category, customer, employee and shippers filters, to have the results, main KPI and trend by detail.

The "How it works?" frame provide a movie to guide the user.

The steps of my work

1. Undestand the activity of Northwind Traders > Which informations are the drivers of the activity?
2. Organise informations in topics, KPI and detail > Which informations and visualisations are the most representative to explain?
3. Create the graphics rules, graphics chart and the plan of the Dashboard > Which colors and page organisation give more impact for the informations?
4. Create calculations with the measures always just in any context > Actual, Previous Year, Forecast...
5. Build the Dashboard with PowerBI for BI Tools and PowerPoint for graphics and movie.
