Northwind Traders - KPI Dashboard

The goal of the project was to develop a comprehensive top-level KPI dashboard that would enable executives to swiftly gain valuable insights into the company's performance. By providing a consolidated view of key metrics, the dashboard aimed to facilitate data-driven decision-making and offer a clear understanding of the organization's overall health and progress.

The primary business need addressed by the KPI dashboard was to empower executives with the ability to swiftly identify factors that directly impacted profitability. To address this need, I employed various visualizations such as line charts, ribbons, and scatter plots. These visualizations were strategically chosen to effectively showcase the relationships and correlations among different factors, enabling executives to quickly identify trends, patterns, and potential areas of improvement.

To discover and present meaningful insights, a multi-step approach was employed. Firstly, a comprehensive analysis of the provided data was conducted to identify significant patterns and trends. Next, the selected visualizations, including line charts, ribbons, and scatter plots, were utilized to highlight the relationships and dependencies between various factors. This aided in uncovering insights that might have otherwise remained hidden in raw data.

Lastly, the insights were presented in a concise and visually appealing manner within the KPI dashboard. Clear annotations, labels, and contextual explanations were included to ensure that the insights were easily understood and actionable. The presentation of the insights focused on highlighting the key takeaways, supporting them with data visualizations, and providing relevant recommendations for strategic decision-making.
