MUSIC TRACKS SALES PERFORMANCE DASHBOARD

About this project

I created an interactive dashboard on “music tracks sales performance” to identify music track sales across different categories.

Graph 1: Number of track sales by country

This graph provides insight into the countries where most of our customers are located and the number of tracks that were purchased by customers from those countries. USA and Canada had the most purchases. Considering our average of 38 sales per customer, 15 countries had one customer only. Using the slicers, we can filter this graph to see which genres were most popular by countries and purchasing trends by year. For example, rock music was a popular genre in the USA with 157 customers purchasing tracks in this genre.

Graph 2: Number of sales supported by Support Reps

This graph provides insight into the performance of the support reps on the sales process as well as the amount made by successful sales supported by reps. Steve had the lower number of support sales- using the pivot slicer for year, we can see that Steve did the best in 2009, but over the years his performance dwindled.

Graph 3: Sales performance by year

This line graph helps us provides the number of tracks sold from 2009-2013, giving us insights into the trend and pattern of sales over time. The graph shows a small decrease in sales from 454 in 2009 to 442 in 2013 similar to 2011.

Graph 4: Tracks purchases by media type

This graph provides the most popular media type purchased by consumers and the amount generated by each media type. MPEG audio files are most purchased accounting for 1976 sales bringing in a revenue of $1956,24.

I created a summary of the data which showed that on average, customers bought 38 tracks from the time they joined Sonic Selections and the total revenue generate from 2009-2013 was $2 328,60. There was also a -1.12% decrease in sales from 2012 to 2013.
