This project is based on “Maven Family Leave Challenge” in which I'll be working as a Data Visualization Specialist at an online business journal. My role is to create charts, visuals, and infographics as supporting content for articles.
As part of Women's History Month in the United States, our company is writing a piece on parental leave policies across the business world, and they need me to create an impactful visual using the collected data.
Dataset includes survey of worldwide employees on 1600 Companies of 51 Industries on Parental Leaves policies.
Key Objective of Dashboard:
Use Power BI Desktop to:
- Connect and transform the raw data.
- Create DAX measures and Calculated Columns.
- Design an interactive report to analyze and visualize the data.

- Average Paid Maternity leave 10.9 Weeks.
- Average Paid Paternity leave 7.3 Weeks.
- Average Unpaid Maternity leave 6.6 Weeks.
- Average Unpaid Paternity leave 7.7 Weeks.
- 98.25% of Companies give Maternity leaves.
- 16.94% of Companies give Paternity leaves.
- Philanthropy gives maximum paid Maternity & Paternity leaves. (Ignore N/A industries).
- 73% of Companies give Paid Maternity leaves in 0-3 Months bucket.
- 13% of Companies give Paid Paternity leaves in 0-3 Months bucket.
- Maximum Paid Maternity leave duration is 52 Weeks, and which given by 1.25% of companies.
