Maven Market Bonus Project

Here is a dashboard created using the dataset provided in Maven Analytics Microsoft Power BI Desktop course as part of a bonus project. Using the instructions as a guideline I wanted to see what else I could explore/do with the data.

I saw that the sales data ranges from 1997-1998 so I thought it would be a good opportunity to do some time intelligence with DAX. So I made a few adjustments to the dashboard and also added a drill through to show more detail about the products. The drill through into product details shows month over month revenue and the % change. I have also included the difference between the two years (1999 & 1998)

Other performance notes:

• Portland reached 1,000 sales in December to close out the year
• In the first week of October in the USA, weekly revenue was the highest
• Hermanos drove the highest profit in both USA and Mexico
• Horatio had the highest overall return rate in 1998
