This is my first challenge in Maven Analytics using Power BI tools. It is was with great interest and excitement to part-take in this “Maven Family Challenge”. I would like to thank Maven Analytics for giving me this opportunity to develop and improve my analytical skills.
In this project I presented both my project insight and data visualization using dash board.
BELOW IS MY PROJECT WORK FLOW:
Ø Data collection and preparation
Ø Querying transforming and loading data
Ø Data modelling
Ø Writing DAX measures and calculated column
Ø Develop compelling report and visualization
Ø Create dash board
BELOW ARE MY CONCLUDED INSIGHTS:
➢ Total company analyzed was 1600 with the total industries of 185
➢ Total paid paternity is 10.82% while paid maternity leave is 89.18%
➢ Total unpaid paternity is 4.76% while unpaid maternity leave is 95.24%
➢ The sum total of unpaid paternity is 0.5 but paid paternity is 2.12
➢ The sum total of unpaid maternity is 10 but paid maternity is 17
➢ Average of paid maternity is 11 whereas average of paid paternity is 1.32
➢ Average of unpaid maternity is 6.19 whereas average of unpaid paternity is 0.31
➢ Mc Donald’s is the highest unpaid paternity leave company
➢ Grant Thornton is the highest paid paternity leave company
➢ Technology: consumer internet is the highest paid maternity leave industry
➢ Consulting service is the highest unpaid maternity leaves industry
From the above insight, my conclusion was that paid paternity leave for both company and industries are very low and my suggestion is for every company and industries to change their polices, so that the fathers can benefit equally as the mothers.
