Mavens Family Leave Challenge

"Create an impactful visual on paternity leave trends & patterns around the business world using crowdsourced information from over 1,500 real companies." was the challenge by Maven. As it was visual, I thought it should be a "Less is More" type of Visual as we see sometimes in newspapers. Minimum data are given with limited visuals but the insights they provide are impactful.

As I am new to this Power Bi Challenges (This is my 2nd challenge) I had no idea about creating designs for such visuals. I looked up Google for Visual Images and started collecting some visuals. From this I got the Idea about this visual then I also visualized such visual in mind and also, and I gathered the required result I want to show in Visual and sketched it on paper as this is what I want. Then I started creating this visual on POWER BI. As the Data was ok but no. of days was too much for me, so I used DAX to convert them into Weeks. Color-wise differentiation I did so that maternal and paternal differences can be seen directly.

The Result my Data Visual is giving is as per below.

1. Number of Industries

2. Number of Sub-industries

3. Number of Companies

4. Percentage of Companies Providing Maternity and Paternity Leave

5. Average Weeks of Leave for Maternity and Paternity

6. Top 10 Industries Offering the Most Generous Maternity and Paternity Leaves, including Paid and Unpaid Leaves

7. Number of Companies per Week of Leave

8. Top 10 Industries with Maximum Leaves Including Paid and Unpaid Leaves

Almost whatever required data needed to be shown I made into visuals, and I thought of it as a Single Paper Visual so did not make any Slicer or button to select.
