The "Projecting the Bracket with Python" project is a data science project that aims to predict the results of the annual college basketball tournament in the United States, known as March Madness. The project uses data science techniques and statistical modeling to analyze the previous performances of teams that participated in the tournament between 2008 and 2022, then use the model to predict performance of teams participating in the 2023 tournament. The project involves data cleaning, data exploration, and data analysis using Python modules such as pandas and statsmodels. The ultimate goal of the project is to fill out a bracket based on the ranking of each teams projection of wins. The project demonstrates the application of python and statistical modeling in a predictive analytics context.
