Introduction
Background
As a ski enthusiast since 2022, I spent this winter exploring as many slopes as possible throughout Japan. However, my ultimate goal is to experience skiing in various countries across the globe. Taking into account my work schedule, the optimal period for me to travel would be between May and November to March, while keeping the travel costs as low as possible. Fortunately, I came across rich and reliable data available in the Data Playground of Maven Analytics to help me plan my future skiing adventures.
Objectives
The following objectives have been established for this project:
- What ski resorts provide the most beginner slopes, and where are they located?
- What are the optimal seasons (months) for skiing based on weather patterns?
- What is the average price of beginner-friendly ski resorts and which ones are relatively more affordable?
- Overall, which ski resort is the most suitable option based on criteria such as beginner-friendliness, accessibility from Japan, optimal season, and affordability?
