Maven Slope Challenge

In this Maven Callenge called Maven Slopes, we had a dataset with data for nearly 500 ski resorts around the world and additional snow covered land surface data for each month in 2022.

The goal of the project was to create a one-page dashboard to help skiers find their ideal resort.

So, I figured the best way to implement this would be to create a set of filters that would help users narrow down the list of potentially suitable resorts as much as possible. Then, having studied them in more detail, they could make their choice.

To complete the task, I needed to:

• clean up the names of the resorts a bit,

• expand information about the seasonality of resorts in order to be able to filter them by months (for all resorts with an unknown season, I applied all months of the year so that users can determine whether it is possible to ski in this month by the percentage of snow cover),

• link snow cover data to resorts so that skiers can use this information when making their final decision.
