Maven Mexico Toys Analysis

This project was looking at sales and inventory data about Toy Stores in Mexico. The data was compiled into 4 CSV files, and I used Excel’s power query to first analyze and then transform the data. I then visualized all the data in Power BI.
The goals of this project were as follows:

1. Which product categories drive the biggest profits? Is this the same across store locations?
2. Can you find seasonality trends or patterns in the sales data?
3. Are sales being lost with out-of-stock products at certain locations?
4. How much money is tied up in inventory at the toy stores? How long will it last? The biggest thing that I discovered was that Action Figures were the most out-of-stock item and was causing a significant loss of profits. The ability to get these products in-stock will contribute to increasing profits, which is the goal of any business.
