The Plan was to create a new monthly dashboard for the company’s regional sales managers.
Approach:
As the plan was to create a monthly dashboard for regional managers, I choose “Region” and “Month” as the interactive dropdowns. I choose key metrics and planned to accommodate growing source data by storing data in an excel table. I prepared data for visualization and created primary and supportive visuals. Finally planned the dashboard layout and implemented it
Key Questions from Company COO:
• What is monthly revenue and how did it change from last month and year?
• How is the business performance year-over-year?
• How are stores performing across regions?
• Which products are driving the biggest gains and losses?
Key Insights:
• Chicago region is generating the highest revenue. However, the NewYork region is recording the highest Month over Month and Year over Year revenue growth.
• Airport stores are generating the highest revenue in all three regions.
• Etch A Sketch, Rubik’s cube, Colorbuds are the top 3 products generating the highest revenue Month over Month.
• Action Figure, Lego Bricks, Gamer Headset are the bottom 3 products causing the highest losses Month over Month.
