Netflix Data Analysis

Netflix is a data-driven company. They use analytics to help decision-makers around the company make smarter decisions, so that everyone can shine in their area of expertise. With this objective myself and my friend Ms Mini Verma ( You can reach out to her @ https://www.linkedin.com/in/mini-verma-a9ba96189/ ) did the project in collaboration on analysis of Netflix Data. I am very much thankful to Mini for collaboration & sharing her expertise.

We analyzed data with intention to find,

1. How many titles were there?
2. How many shows/movies were there?
3. What is Average imdb score ?
4. What is Average tmdb score
5. Find Top shows/ movies by imdb score ?
6. Find Top shows/ movies by votes ?
7. Find Top shows/ movies by tmdb score?
8. Find Top N shows/ movies by Genre 9 ) Year wise count of release of movies/ shows

We Found some insights :

1. In the period 1954 to 2022 majority type of titles released were, "Movies". 2019 was the year when t had max count of release. This count went on decreasing then. Maybe Covid was the reason for this
2. Most productions are from "US"
3. Boman Irani and Kareen Kapoor were the actor/actress to get max no of movies/shows
4. Though Inception was top imdb voted movie (2.3M), Breaking Bad got top imdb score
5. Incantation has highest tmdb popularity
6. Mostly title were of first genre "Comedy"
7. Apart from US and India, other countries have less release on Netflix, so Netflix can increase revenue by having title release from other countries
