Project Scope

The project scope was to build a one page dashboard to allow the Sales Executive of a small manufacturing company monitor the bonus paid to sales agents with the possibility to switch month

The dashboard must show

• Agent Name
• Bonus Category
• Sales Amount and Volume
• Distance vs Target
• Bonus Paid

Bonus Calculation

The real issue of this project was related to the bonus calculation. The company has a complex method shown in the image below:

This bonus calculation required a lot of DAX to evaulate the achievement of Bonus 2 and 3 conditions not to incurr in a bad calculation.

Final Deployment and Maintenance

The report was deployed on PBI Service provided with a weekly schedule refresh over PBI Service (two hours delayed than the dataflow)
