Production of a Realtor vs National Average

Production of a Realtor vs National Average

About this project

Home sales of a Realtor over a 10 year period. Broken down by units sold per year and Average Unit Price per year. Compared against US median home sale prices.

This visualization was created to assist a Realtor with analyzing their own sales metrics against national averages.

One item seems clear, the agent's average sales price per unit is lower than the US average.

The data collected included the agent's sales data for the last ten years broken down to units sold, average sale price per unit and total gross sales volume in dollars. External data included US median home prices of sold homes for the same period.

A closer looks shows that on average over the ten year period, the agent's average sale price per unit was 50% less than the US median over the same time frame.

As expected there was a high positive correlation between the agent's number of units sold and their total sales volume in dolllars. It is also clear that 2020 was a great year for the agent, selling almost 3 times as much in dollars than their average.

Further study may look at the agent's productions against average sales figures from their section of the country rather than vs the US as a whole.
