About this project

This project was to determine the number of deaths in the world each year and to know the diseases that most cause death in each country over a period of 30 years from 1990 to 2020.

From this data analysis project , I have reached the following:

  • The number of deaths in 204 countries from 1990 to 2019 reached 1 billion and 468 million deaths.

  • The average number of deaths each year reaches 54 million and 375 thousand deaths.

  • The country with the highest number of deaths is China, followed by India and then the United States of America.

  • The year with the highest number of deaths is 2019.

The disease that takes the most lives is cardiovascular, followed by neoplasms and then chronic respiratory disease.

The country with the lowest number of deaths is Tokelau, followed by Niue.

  • Our Insights

1- For pharmaceutical companies:

  • Providing treatments and medicines for the most deadly diseases among people in the countries most affected by these diseases will bring huge financial returns to companies and will bring stability and prosperity to the country and prevent the country from entering into bigger problems that threaten these countries, such as the risk of a decrease in the number of population and workers and the cessation of factories and local production.

2- For health care:

  • Providing periodic examinations, analyses and x-rays to detect and diagnose diseases early, which facilitates the treatment process and increases the chances of survival, thus reducing the number of deaths and ensuring that diseases do not spread among people.
