About this project

Project Objective:

The objective of this project is to demonstrate my expertise as a functional consultant in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) by configuring and implementing key financial and operational modules for a fictional company, New Level Financial Services. The goal is to create a fully operational system tailored to the needs of a professional services provider, showcasing proficiency in business process analysis, system customisation, and solution delivery.

Project Scope:

  • Company Overview: New Level Professional Services is a demo company that provides a range of financial solutions, including accounting services, investment management, and financial advisory.
  • Modules Configuration:
    • General Ledger: Chart of Accounts setup, financial reporting structures, posting profiles.
    • Accounts Payable/Receivable: Vendor and customer management, invoicing, payment processing, settlement rules.
    • Cash and Bank Management: Bank account setup, reconciliation processes, cash flow management.
    • Fixed Assets Management: Asset acquisition, depreciation schedules, and asset disposal processes.
    • Project Management and Accounting: Project setup, cost tracking, time and expense management, project invoicing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To conduct business process analysis to align D365 F&O functionality with financial industry best practices.
  • To configure modules to meet the operational needs of a professional services firm, focusing on scalability and compliance.
  • To customise workflows to enhance operational efficiency and user experience.
  • To deliver training and documentation for end users on the functionality and best practices of the system.

Project Outcome:

This is an ongoing project and configured modules will be uploaded as I progress.
