Journalist Killings since 1992

Despite all the hurdles, journalists and media workers continue to report the news and bring critical information to the public. I created this visualization after I came across Arshad Sharif's death news. Sharif, who was critical of Pakistan's powerful army, was killed when police shot at his car on the outskirts of the Kenyan capital Nairobi in late October. This visualization was least I could do to appreciate the efforts of journalist community.
