Goal: The goal of this project was to develop a detailed Power BI dashboard to analyze patient wait lists and case types in the healthcare sector. The focus was on understanding wait times, patient demographics, and specialty-specific trends to support effective healthcare management.

Insights:

1. Wait List Analysis: Monitored total wait list numbers and compared them month-over-month.
2. Case Type Breakdown: Analyzed wait list data by case type (outpatient, day case, inpatient) to understand different patient flow dynamics.
3. Age Profile Insights: Evaluated patient wait lists across various age profiles to identify demographic trends.
4. Specialty-Specific Trends: Assessed wait list data by medical specialties to understand the demand and resource allocation.
5. Trend Analysis: Conducted monthly trend analysis to monitor changes in wait lists and patient volumes.

Discovering and Presenting Insights:

• Data Collection and Organization: Gathered patient data, including wait list information, case types, specialties, and demographics, and organized it for analysis.
• Data Visualization: Used Power BI to create a dashboard with visual elements such as bar charts, pie charts, line graphs, and detailed tables.
• Trend Analysis: Conducted analysis to identify trends in patient wait lists and case types over time.
• Demographic Breakdown: Visualized wait list data by age profile to provide insights into patient demographics.
• Interactive Features: Implemented interactive features allowing users to filter data by archive date, case type, specialty, age profile, and time bands, enhancing the ability to explore and understand healthcare trends.

This project provides healthcare administrators with valuable insights to improve patient flow management, optimize resource allocation, and enhance overall healthcare delivery through a user-friendly and interactive Power BI dashboard.
