About this project

This project is a time Series analysis, to analyze the sales trend and patterns, product performance across the regions, the sales channel effectiveness over time , and changes in demand in telling a compelling data-driven story, and presenting my findings to an audience.

The objectives of this analysis is to gain insight on our sales on the dataset to solve the business issues stated below:

1.Examined sales performance across the regions, using the warehouse-code as the regions.

2.Examined how the sales channels affected sales performance.

  1. Examine the impact of discount on sales.

4.Examine sales order quantity by product distribution.

5.Comparing sales performance across the different regions by rating.

From my analysis above, we can see the impact of discount on sales is not that significant, given that sales wasn’t even affected when there was a discount of 4%, though sales started climaxing at 15% discount, sales still climax when the discounts dropped to 5% .

Hence, discount impact not significant on sales.

We can improve by establishing more in-store channels to improve sales performance across the regions.

Recommendations

  1. Product Performance:
    • Analyzing the performance of individual products or product categories consistently, is key and,
    • Identifying high-performing products and focus on optimizing sales strategies for them.
  2. Sales Channels:
    • Evaluating the effectiveness of different sales channels (online, offline, direct sales, partners, etc.), and
    • Allocate resources based on the channels that yield the best results is very important for the business.
  3. Sales Team Analysis:
    • integrate sales team members individual performance assessment as a whole.
    • Provide training or incentives to improve performance where necessary.
  4. Sales Funnel Analysis:
    • Always Examine the sales funnel to identify potential bottlenecks or areas for improvement.
    • Optimize the conversion process to increase overall sales efficiency.
  5. Customer Lifetime Value (CLV):
    • There is need to Calculate and analyze the CLV for different customer segments.
    • Focus on retaining high-value customers and optimizing the customer journey.
  6. Market and Competitor Analysis:
    • Keep track of market trends and changes in consumer behavior.
    • Monitor competitor activities and adjust your sales strategies accordingly.
  7. Inventory Management:
    • Ensure that the inventory levels are aligned with demand to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
