LEGO Challenge with Power BI

About this project

The objective of this data challenge was to "stack your imagination and analytical prowess to piece together an interactive dashboard or visual that lets users explore the history and evolution of LEGO sets from the past 5 decades."

I utilized Microsoft Excel to clean the dataset and then Power BI to create an interactive dashboard that includes four distinct pages each with informative visualizations.

  1. Dashboard: Key indicator tiles + interactive charts with drill down
  2. Sets & Pieces: Line charts and a scatter plot showing insights related to LEGO sets and piece counts over time
  3. Minifigs: Various charts displaying pertinent LEGO Minifig data and their increasing popularity
  4. Licensed IP: Snapshot of the most popular licensed LEGO themes and sets

Each page includes slicers and page navigation buttons.

Book and Gear categories were filtered out to only include buildable LEGO sets.

Good work KD!! How did you manage to embed and show the image in the dashboard? I think that because the link is secured so PBI could not get the image from the ImageURl.
