I've just completed Case Study on DataCamp, focusing on HR Analytics in Power BI, applied to a case study for a fictitious company, Atlas Labs. Here’s a snapshot of my experience:
Exploratory Data Analysis: Dived into HR data, revealing key insights and patterns.
DAX Functions Mastery: Enhanced visualizations in Power BI using DAX, adding depth to the analysis.
Analyzing Employee Attrition: Investigated factors affecting employee turnover, crucial for organizational strategy.
Designing Branded Reports: Created Power BI reports aligned with company branding, merging information and aesthetics.
Unveiling Key Insights from the Atlas Labs HR Dashboard
This dashboard reveals some intriguing insights into the company's workforce demographics and salary structures. Here's a glimpse of what I discovered:
Age Demographics: The majority of Atlas Labs' employees are young, falling within the 20-29 age bracket. This reflects a youthful workforce that could be dynamic and potentially adaptable to new technologies and trends.
Gender Distribution: Interestingly, there's a slightly higher percentage of women (2.7% more) than men in the company. This points towards Atlas Labs' commitment to gender diversity in the workplace.
Diversity and Salary Analysis:
Non-binary Representation: Non-binary employees constitute 8.5% of the total workforce, highlighting Atlas Labs' inclusive environment.
Ethnicity and Salary: There's a notable difference in average salaries among different ethnic groups. Employees identifying as White have the highest average salary, while those from 'Mixed or multiple ethnic groups' tend to have lower average salaries. This raises important questions about pay equity and diversity.
