About this project

Title: Enhancing Patient Care through Informed Insights

As a healthcare administrator at our medical facility,

I want a comprehensive Power BI dashboard that provides key insights into our patient data,

So that I can make informed decisions to improve patient experience and operational efficiency.

Acceptance Criteria:

  1. Average Waiting Time Evaluation: The dashboard should display the average waiting time of patients. This insight will help us identify bottlenecks in our patient processing and take steps to reduce wait times.
  1. Monthly Patient Visits Tracking: There should be a visual representation of patient visits every month. This will help in understanding patient visit trends over time and assist in resource planning according to peak and off-peak periods.
  1. Visits by Department: The dashboard must show total visits broken down by each department. This data is crucial for analyzing the demand for different departments and allocating resources accordingly.
  1. Patient Visit Breakdown by Age Group: An insight into how different age groups are utilizing our services will be provided. This breakdown will help in tailoring our services to meet the specific needs of each age group.
  1. Average Satisfaction by Age Group and Race: The dashboard should determine the average satisfaction score segmented by age group and patient race. This insight will be instrumental in understanding if our services are meeting the diverse needs of our patient population and where improvements are needed.
  1. Average Wait Time by Age Group and Race: Lastly, the dashboard should analyze the average wait time, further segmented by age group and patient race. This will help in identifying if any particular demographic is experiencing longer wait times and allow us to address these specific issues.

End Goal:

The end goal of this dashboard is not just to gather data, but to leverage these insights to enhance patient satisfaction, streamline our processes, and ensure equitable and efficient healthcare services across all departments and demographics.
